Wyvern Lingo - Letter To Willow EP
Wyvern Lingo drop their debut Rubyworks release - The Letter To Willow EP. In the words of The Last Mixed Tape, "Letter to Willow is a statement. It’s an affirmation of who and where Wyvern Lingo are right now. From the buzzing intro and big pop inflected chorus of the record’s title track, the E.P. is the sound of band in the midst of great creative inspiration brought on by simply making the music they want to make."
Three of the tracks were recorded in Cologne, Germany with Sierra-Leonean / German artist-producer Patrice Bart-Williams, and were mixed in Paris by Philippe Weiss (Dragonette, George Clinton, K’naan). Additional recording for the title track took place in Dublin with Rob Kirwan (Hozier, PJ Harvey) at the controls.
Friends and bandmates since school days, Wyvern Lingo share a gift for close harmony, keen songcraft and effervescent live performance which belies their tender years. Drawing on a diverse range of influences from pop, rock and R’n’B, their voices interweave to create a fresh, forward-looking sound.
The Letter To Willow EP is out now.
